E2 Charging Current

I’ve got an E2 charger and love it. I have it scheduled to charge from 12am to 6am to make use of a cheap EV tariff during that period.

I have it integrated with Home Assistant (also a smart power monitor) and I have noticed it seems to initially pull 29A but then after about an hour it drops down to 26A for the remaining charge time (5 hrs).

What could causes this and does it sound like expected behavior? I’m wondering if there’s anything I can do to get more energy out of it during that time period. I know it wouldn’t be life changing but just out of curiosity if anything.

Thanks
