Reduced charge rate

I have noticed that the maximum charge rate of our E2 has dropped from previously being ~7kW to now being a maximum of around 6kW. The first time I see this reduction occurring is on 3rd November 2024. The EVSE was reaching 7kW as recently prior to this on 15/10/25.

This time span correlates to our lines company installing new transformers and voltage regulator in our area in late October which has caused issues with our solar’s generation and export levels since due to high grid voltage in our area. Is this issue also responsible for the compromised charging levels we are experiencing?

Hi There,

Thanks for reaching out.

Could you please send your charger’s serial number to our support team at support@evnex.com so we can investigate your charger’s logs?

The charging current can be affected by other house loads (if it is reaching the max supply allowance).

It will also depend on grid supply voltages. We would need to check how much current your vehicle is requesting and multiple by the supply voltage under load.

Once we had a chance to check your charger’s logs we should be able to see what is happening.

Thanks for your help.

The number that comes up on my phone app is E2-03879. Is that what you’re after?

Also the reduced charging rates have occurred at night when our background house consumption is typically <1kW.
