X22-T2S - Keeping cable locked when not in use

Likely a feature request; but is there any way to keep a cable locked in the charge port when charging is complete?

Two drivers for this - firstly is security, ensuring someone can’t just take the (rather exxy) charging cable when we’re not around (charger is in an unsecured carport). Secondly - we occasionally are having errors with the lock at the charger port engaging, and this can take 4-5 goes to get it right - which is a nuisance.

Would be great to have an optional “keep charger end locked” feature for the charger to allow us to only unlock the cable when we request it - otherwise keep it locked at that end.

Hi there,

Thanks for getting in touch and feedback. Apologies about the late response.

I have passed this feature request to our software and hardware teams for consideration (in future app updates) as we haven’t had this request come up frequently.

I have seen a customer using a wall mounted cable lock in the past.

It is good to make sure that the charging cable is always connected into the charger socket/end first before connecting into the vehicle’s socket. And after the charging session it should be in the reverse order.

If you keep getting faults it could be that the charging cable locking hole has had some wear and tear and the locking pin inside the charger’s socket is not able to fully lock the cable.

We will update our customer request feature table with your entry and as more people request this we can prioritize and look into developing this feature in the next updates.

Thanks again for your feedback.
