Hi, just installed my Evnex E2 charger and started charging. It was consistently 7.2kwh until it dropped slightly to 6.5kwh showing that it’s due to temperature.
I just want to check if this is due to temperature in the environment (car is in enclosed garage) or it’s because I didn’t uncoil the cable sufficiently? My unit comes with 8m thetered but due to the close distance I don’t need the 8m full length.

Hi Adrian.
This will be due to internal temperature in the charger. At this time of year it can get quite warm after some time at 32A (7.2kW), and will drop back slightly to prevent overheating. Depending on how warm the conditions are it will stabilise anywhere between 26A-30A (6-7kW).
The cable can also get warm to the touch but not hot enough to be a concern. There’s enough copper inside that the heat can dissipate along the cable.
Kind regards,
Tom
