E2 purple led indicator

New user still trying to understand.
Plugging tethered power cable into mg essence the indicator goes straight to the purple indicator light suggesting my vehicle is not requesting charge. It takes a couple of attempts for the indicator led to go green. Do i have to be patient for the led display to go green? The alerts suggest that charging has begun. I do not get the green light as described in the charging instruction straight away. My vehicle tends to lock itself shortly after inserting the power cable and i have been able to see the green light flash breifly as it locks itself. I have checked that there is no charging schedules active in both car and charger.
Can you suggest other things to check please. I am beginning to wonder if i am getting a poor connection between cable and vehicle.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for getting in touch.

Could you please confirm your vehicle’s brand and model?

Also if you could please email the charger’s serial number to support@evnex.com and our team will be able to investigate the logs and get back to you with a response.

Then we will update this thread with the resolution so other community members have visibility on the fix/solution.

Kind regards,

Pedro
